Delinquents
The association has taken the following steps to target delinquents in an effort to increase the collection rate
1 Notification to settle balance
2 Listing of delinquents names on Notice board/Newsletter
3 Court action (please note that in addition to the outstanding amount owed, delinquents taken to court pays bailiff fees of $3,500.00 and an additional 25% of the total owed as part of the legal costs).
Residents will find that if the collection rate falls we will have major deficits and will be forced to cut back on expenditure for standard services such as security, utilities and grounds maintenance. We are therefore imploring residents to pay their maintenance fees.
We understand the harsh economic climate that we face, and every effort was made to minimize the increase. We ask that all residents do their part and pay their maintenance fees. Please play your part so that this community can continue to be the pride and joy of Portmore and Jamaica.
